Smells like perfume
It smells perfumed. Not as much as the normal Bounce, but it still has that distinct perfume smell. I see from their reply to other reviews that they are saying this is the "natural" smell of the ingredients, but the smell is so perfumy I find it hard to believe that there is not a fragrance added, maybe not directly to their product on purpose, but then maybe already added to an ingredient before they get it or some other way that they can get around having to list it. Disappointed.

NOT UNSCENTED
This product is NOT unscented! The smell from the sealed box was so strong that it made my nose run while I was still in the car on the way home from the store and all of the groceries that were in the same bag smell terrible. It was a curbside pick-up or else I would have never bought it. I have been buying unscented/free & clear Bounce for years and I usually trust this brand with my allergies. I am extremely disappointed and will not be buying again.

Why is there scent?
I’m glad I’m not the only one that notices the scent in this supposed to be “free and gentle” brand. I left it on it’s own for a few weeks but it still smells. Did you change the ingredients? Please take the scent away for people who can’t stand scent. Not sure what to do now with buying another brand.

FREE & GENTLE IS NOT UNSCENTED BUT A STRONG SMELL
The last 2 boxes I bought of "free and gentle" are supposed to be unscented but they definitely scented. So disappointed! Because this was our 2nd box I even let the box sit isolated for 2 weeks incase it picked up a scent from something in the store but it still smelled. I called the 1-800 number and they were great and are refunding my money but not sure if I will buy again as I will be trying another brand.
Strong Perfume Smell to box I got this week
I have been a long time user of Bounce Free and Gentle because it was the only product with a milder scent.I usually buy this from Walmart or Amazon (they both have the same comments about a recent box)Based on the other reviews here I will probably toss this box out. I am very disappointed and will have to search out another brand.

HORRIBLE SCENT FOR "FREE & GENTLE" NOW
OMG! WHAT HAPPENED???? I have been buying fragrance-free BOUNCEfor YEARS AND YEARS! I just bought a large box and was utterly shockedby the STRONG FRAGRANCE! Either the packaging department made a mistake or Proctor and Gamble changed their "recipe!" I want a refund !!Unfortunately I lost my grocery receipt where I bought it, or otherwise I would return for an immediate refund. I need the address where to return for money back. I WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN !!!

Now has strong scent
I too just recently bought a box and it has a strong perfume odor. I have been using this for many years and it never had an odor before. I bought a second box thinking something was wrong with the first. It too has strong odor. Won't be using this product anymore unless it goes back to having no perfume odor as I have sensitivity to this. Very disappointed.

Has an unwanted scent now
I've been using this product for years because I'm very sensitive to scents. I just picked up a box, only to discover it has a very strong floral scent. This is NOT what I would describe as "free of perfumes" by any means. Box is being returned and exchanged for another brand. Thanks for the wasted trip.

Something is wrong- Unpleasant new fragrance
I am single and buy in bulk so I’m finally finishing my second box (240 ct) of Bounce FREE & SENSITIVE so went on Amazon to reorder (it’s been a couple of years). Apparently all that is available is now called FREE & GENTLE, so I ordered it assuming just the name had changed. Not so! It smells really strong and NOT PLEASANT! Like other reviewers, 1. You could smell it while still in the Amazon packaging!, 2. I grabbed the almost empty old box and sniffed a lot to compare, feeling like I must be crazy, 3. I recall liking the scent of regular Bounce (but my boyfriend has sensitive skin), and briefly wondered if the products got mixed up, but they didn’t. Regular Bounce smells really nice, this smells just awful!, 4. I googled the problem and saw some merchants said maybe the product had sat next to a fragrant product and recommended that we air it out... so I did. I opened it and literally laid the dryer sheets out in the garage for a few days... And made my whole garage stink! 5. I gave up and returned the item to Amazon in defeat. That was 30-45 days ago, and it looks like this is still an issue, so I’ve purchased a box of Free & Sensitive off of eBay just now (I’m praying it’s actually that exact product) and hoping that will get me through a year while P&G fixes what wasn’t broken! VERY FRUSTRATING. There MUST be a manufacturing issue, because NO SANE BUSINESS would choose this unpleasant chemical-smelling odor to willingly place on what is supposed to be an UNFRAGRANCED product. PLEASE sort this out, P&G! There is no other effective fragrance free option on the market- you MUST know this!
